The Purple Parade 2026 is the 14th edition, and the official FAQ puts the signature day at Suntec City on Saturday 24 October, 2pm to 7pm. It is free. Wear purple if you want to match the floor. The movement is facilitated by Central Singapore CDC and The Purple Parade Limited. Ahboy locates the public carnival at the Fountain of Wealth and the Tower 1 and 2 atrium. Do not treat Suntec Singapore's visit-events card as the parade map. That listing currently parks the whole day in Level 3 Rooms 306 and 307 from 10am to 7pm. Those rooms are the quiet room, not the march.
Five Cs, one Saturday
The FAQ still organises the year around five workstreams. Campaign is the publicity and workplace pop-ups from October. Carnival is the Eat, Play, Shop marketplace of products from the disability community. Concert is the inclusive performance line-up. Contingent is the street march. Conversations are the dialogues. The brochure is still marked coming soon, so the FAQ and the event map are the pages that actually answer a visitor's questions this week.
Temasek Boulevard inside Suntec City closes for the day. Roads start shutting from about 11am. The FAQ says the closure lifts after 8pm, with more timing still to be posted. If you are driving, that window is the reason to use Promenade or Esplanade and walk.
From Esplanade MRT, enter the mall and aim for Tower 5, Suntec Plaza, the Fountain of Wealth, and Towers 1 and 2. From Promenade MRT, enter at Tower 4, then use the Level 2 connecting walkway toward Tower 2. That second route is the useful one if you have already been at the LEGO atrium on the Towers 3 and 4 side the same month. The parade sits on the other half of the complex.
Carnival coupons on AXS
Carnival booths are grouped Eat, Shop, and Play. Priority for booths goes to disability organisations. Space is limited. All carnival and merchandise proceeds go to the Share of Gift fund, split equally among social service agencies that took part in at least one C this year. Halal stall names have not been posted. The FAQ says more on that closer to the date.
Buy carnival e-coupons on the AXS web, app, or machines. There is no coupon consignment this year. Bulk buy is through AXS. Booth partners are not issued Purple Parade T-shirts. They buy the official tee or wear their own purple. The FAQ's coupon page currently says unused coupons cannot be used after 26 October and that there is no refund. The signature event date on the same FAQ is 24 October. Treat Saturday 24 October as the public carnival day. Do not plan a second carnival Sunday until the organiser corrects that coupon line.
Contingent theme: Heroes Among Us
The march is a signed-up group activity, not a drop-in walk. Each contingent is 50 to 100 people. Smaller groups get paired. The 2026 theme is Heroes Among Us. Purple is the main colour. Groups are asked to use eco-friendly costume materials. Corporate tees are allowed if they pick up some purple. Logo use on apparel needs organiser approval and those shirts cannot be sold. Contingent walkers are not given official T-shirts. Families can join a signed-up group. Members of the public are asked to stand along the route and cheer rather than insert themselves into a contingent.
The posted route is short: Fountain of Wealth to the overhead bridge, then on to the convention centre, about 5 to 8 minutes depending on pace. Banners and placards stay with the groups. Rain rules are specific. A drizzle means ponchos and the march continues. Heavy rain may delay it. A thunderstorm cancels the march. Indoor carnival continues in rain. Outdoor booths may move under shelter. Outdoor-stage concert slots can be dropped.
Quiet room in MR306 and MR307
The accessibility kit is the part of this year's FAQ that is actually finished. Outdoor areas have ramps. Help desks stock earplugs and earmuffs, rain ponchos, brochures, and direction maps, and they can walk you to the quiet room. If the concert is too loud, that is the desk to find first.
The quiet room is at Suntec Singapore Convention Centre, rooms MR306 and MR307. The floor plan in the FAQ sends you into the convention wing, not the mall atrium. Download the 2026 accessibility guide before you go if you are planning around mobility or sensory needs. Pets are not allowed, including on the carnival floor, out of consideration for participants from different religious backgrounds. Pregnant visitors are welcome. The FAQ flags crowd density as the practical limit, not a ban.
Workplace campaign kits are on loan from October: one purple tablecloth, one A1 foam-board poster, a poster stand, and pull-up banners. The publicity kit lives on Google Drive for partners. New artwork using those assets should go to joinus@purpleparade.sg before it is published. Donations go through Charmaine_Phua@pa.gov.sg and qiqing@purpleparade.sg, or the donate page. Volunteer booth location is still listed as coming later.
